Based in Windsor, covering the Virginia Water, Ascot, Sunningdale, Maidenhead , Bray and Windsor area we at Assorti are passionate about what we do. We aim to provide a professional, friendly and efficient service covering a range of topics to support individuals with a hectic workload. We enjoy life and that's what we want to help you to do, from collecting your dry cleaning to waiting in for a delivery to helping organise parties or events.
Who are we?
Andrea Williams launched Assorti Lifestyle Management & Concierge in May 2007. Here is a brief insight into her background and what inspired her to set up her own business venture.
''Apart from a brief stint in recruitment, I always worked in retail management,” Andrea explains. “Initially I was a store manager and then became an area manager. Essentially, I made things happen through facilitating.
“In both roles, I had to look for opportunities to improve stores’ performance: whether that was through sales, dealing with staffing issues, project managing shop fits, managing contractors or ensuring promotions launched correctly. It was a busy and hectic job!
“After commuting in and around London for two and a half years, my biggest challenge became taking care of my own personal errands. I’d usually ending up buying food at Waterloo or Paddington station, and when it came to posting a parcel or paying in a cheque, half my lunch hour would disappear! I became time-poor and very protective of my weekends and evenings.
“To get away from it all, my husband and I took off - travelling around Europe in a motor-home. It was the best thing I could have done! Whilst I was away, I pondered the fact that I wasn’t the only busy person lacking the time to take care of personal errands. I remembered seeing the same people day-in, day-out on my commute, all putting in long hours. I knew they must all have lots on their personal to-do lists and reasoned that they probably had as little time to do them as I used to have. When I came back, I felt that the time was right to launch my own business – and here we are today, just about to enter our second year!”
